CRC Community Grant

The Chesapeake Reading Council will award up to $400.00 in a Community Project Grants for the 2011-2012 school year. This grant can be used to enhance literacy in your school or community.

James D. Mullins Leadership Award

 

This award was established in 1994 to recognize administrators who show exceptional support of reading. The nominee is a strong advocate for reading, teachers and children; has a vision for a school or school system; consistency makes decisions based on a belief system, is creative in finding resources to support reading programs, and is a strong supporter of reading and/or VSRA or other reading-oriented organizations or groups.

The CRC Executive Board of Directors would like to congratulate CRC President, Cathy Collier for receiving the 1st Virginia State Reading Association Nancy King Leadership Award.  This award was presented on May 22, 2010 at the VSRA Leadership Meeting in Richmond, VA.
